How To Create A Centering Morning Routine

Think about this: the way you start your day is the way you’ll move through the day. I believe this so strongly and having a centering morning routine has made such a difference in the way I move through my day, so today I’m sharing my tips on how to create a centering morning routine.

What do your mornings look like? Are they calm and intentional, or are they rushed and hectic? Remember that your morning sets the tone for the rest of your day. Use your time in the morning wisely and you’ll find that you’ll be more prepared for the day ahead, you’ll feel more centered and calm, and you’ll likely even be able to use that time for self care, of which we are all in desperate need of more.

I have discovered that all of the successful people I follow have many things in common, but one that continuously stands out to me is that they all have some sort of morning routine and rituals that look the same or very similar, day in and day out. I’m talking about Tim Ferriss, Mel Robbins, Rachel Hollis, Tony Robbins (no relation to Mel, FYI), Jack Canfield, and pretty much all the others. How you wake up determines how productive you will be for the day.

Now, if you’re thinking, “I can’t or don’t have time to go through a morning routine,” you simply need to create a new habit. Will it be easy? No, it won’t be. But it’ll be worth it because of the way you’ll feel and because of how you will feel moving throughout the rest of your day. Creating a new habit starts with making a conscious decision to do something over and over again. It eventually becomes a habit when you’re able to do it without putting much thought or effort into it. And this is how we create healthy new habits.

Establishing a centering morning routine is one of the ways I’m able to get a lot done during the day. It allows me to prioritize what’s important to me, to say no to the things that aren’t of the utmost priority, so that I get all of the most important things done first. Which also allows me to have more time for self care and relaxation.
